Untuk lebih meningkatkan pelayanan kepabeanan melalui penyederhanaan prosedur, perluasan rantai pasok dan saluran ekspor hasil produksi, akomodasi perkembangan proses bisnis kegiatan usaha, serta penyempurnaan kebijakan di bidang fasilitas Kemudahan Impor Tujuan Ekspor Pembebasan untuk meningkatkan daya saing, investasi, dan ekspor nasional, pada tanggal 24 Oktober 2022, Menteri Keuangan Republik Indonesia menetapkan Peraturan Menteri Keuangan Republik Indonesia Nomor 149/PMK.04/2022 tentang Pembebasan Bea Masuk dan Tidak Dipungut Pajak Pertambahan Nilai atau Pajak Pertambahan Nilai dan Pajak Penjualan atas Barang Mewah atas Impor Barang dan Bahan untuk Diolah, Dirakit, atau Dipasang pada Barang Lain dengan Tujuan untuk Diekspor.
