In the context of protecting the community from Cosmetics that do not fulfill the requirements of safety, benefit, and quality as well as providing guidance in performing applications for Cosmetics, provisions regulating the procedures for the submission of Cosmetics Notification are necessary. Based on these considerations, on 4 October 2022, the Head of the National Agency of Drug and Food Control stipulates Regulation of the Head of National Agency of Drug and Food Control Number 21 Year 2022 regarding Procedures for the Submission of Cosmetics Notification.

Dalam rangka melindungi masyarakat dari Kosmetika yang tidak memenuhi persyaratan keamanan, kemanfaatan, dan mutu serta untuk memberikan panduan dalam melakukan pengajuan Kosmetika, perlu adanya ketentuan yang mengatur tata cara pengajuan notifikasi Kosmetika. Berdasarkan pertimbangan-pertimbangan tersebut, pada tanggal 4 Oktober 2022, Kepala Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan menetapkan Peraturan Kepala Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan Nomor 21 Tahun 2022 tentang Tata Cara Pengajuan Notifikasi Kosmetika.
