As the February 14 Presidential Election approaches, powerful interests are maneuvering to support their favored candidates. Despite heightened political tensions, businesses anticipate a smooth and peaceful election. The intense political climate is likely to impact the domestic economy, potentially stimulating domestic public spending. However, the government still needs to bolster investment and other economic growth engines to sustain the economy. The next government will face questions regarding the future political and economic trajectory, addressing challenges from both domestic and external factors such as poverty, climate change, international geopolitics, and de-globalization trends. Businesses need to be prepared for potential policy changes and comprehend the economic outlook to strategically navigate their future operations.

The forum will gather Indonesian political and economic experts to share updates and insights from various perspectives on the current situation. The aim is to foster comprehensive understanding and facilitate strategic discussions about potential shifts in politics and economy, allowing participants to discuss sensitive matters with the speakers. The discussion will be off-the-record with no media.
