DISCUSSION ON OMNIBUS BILL ON FINANCIAL SECTOR WITH FISCAL POLICY AGENCY'S DR ADI BUDIARSO

Dear AmCham Members, AmCham Indonesia would like to invite you to a virtual meeting with Dr Adi Budiarso, Head of Center for Financial Sector Policy (PKSK) at the Fiscal Policy Agency (BKF), Ministry of Finance, to discuss the upcoming Omnibus Bill on Financial Sector Development and Strengthening Reform (RUU RPPSK).

The Omnibus Bill, prepared by the government, aims to strengthen and prepare the financial industry to be adaptive to future technological changes and dynamics. The bill is going to be a big piece of legislation, covering both banking, non-banking, and other areas in the financial services sector. The Ministry of Finance is currently working on this Bill with the House of Representatives (DPR), and input from the private sector will be crucial for the bill.

Through the virtual meeting, we hope to have a discussion with Dr Adi on the RPPSK Bill, the deliberation timeline of the Bill, and ways the private sector can give input in the deliberation process of the Bill.

Dr Adi Budiarso, FCPA

Head of Center for Financial Sector Policy (PKSK)

Dr Adi was born in Salatiga, September 1, 1970. He obtained a Diploma IV from the Indonesian State College of Accountancy (STAN) in 1997. In 2001, he successfully obtained Master of Accounting degree from the University of Southern California and obtained a Doctor of Business Administration degree from the University of Canberra in 2014.

He started his career at the Finance Education and Training Agency, Ministry of Finance in 1990. Prior to serving in the Fiscal Policy Agency, he served as Head of the Central Transformation Office (CTO) at the Secretariat General, Ministry of Finance in 2014–2018. He also served as Secretary of the 2018 IMF-World Bank Group National Committee for the 2018 Annual Meetings in Bali.

Then he was Head of the Center for Climate Change and Multilateral Finance, Fiscal Policy Agency. On August 24, 2020, he was inaugurated as Head of the Center for Financial Sector Policy.
