Joining us will be keynote speaker Arifin Panigoro (Chair of Stop TB Partnership Indonesia) and a panel featuring Dr. Richard A. Vinroot, Jr. Vice President / Global Medical Director of Freeport Mc-Moran and Adrian Thomas Vice President, Global Strategy, Programs & Policy for Global Public Health of Johnson & Johnson. We will also have the Acting Director General of Disease Prevention and Control of Ministry of Health Maxi Rein Rondonuwu opening our session.
Tuberculosis (TB) has killed more people over the last decade than any other infectious disease. Indonesia has the second highest burden of disease in the world. In 2019, 850,000 people fell ill with TB and over 100,000 died from it. With the Covid-19 pandemic, the world has recognized the importance of the workplace as a location for the spread – as well as prevention – of infectious diseases.
We believe that the private sector can play a defining role in overcoming the disease by leveraging the untapped potential of businesses around the world to reach millions of workers and their communities, and drive new progress in the highest-burden areas.
