Discussion Series # 3: Future of Competition Law enforcement post ITE Law Amendment

We are pleased to invite you to our third bi-monthly antitrust and competition discussion.

We are honored by the attendance of Mohammad Reza a KPPU Commissioner currently in office, who will be joined by our associate partners, Dyah Ayu Paramita and Mochamad Fachri in discussing the future of competition law enforcement  following the Amendment of Law No. 11 of 2008, as amended by Law No. 19 of 2016 and Law No. 1 of 2024, on Electronic Information and Transaction, in particular Article 40A, whereby the Government is to set out further policies to ensure business players are on an equal playing field and applying the fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory (FRAND) principles.

Under Article 40A, the Government can take enforcement actions by ordering business players to carry out certain adjustment and/or conduct and impose administrative sanction(s) for incompliance.
