Usaha Simpan Pinjam oleh Koperasi

On 16 June 2023, the Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises stipulated Regulation of the Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia Number 8 Year 2023 regarding Savings and Loan Business by Cooperatives. The regulation is stipulated to amend several regulations governing savings and loan business by cooperatives that are deemed no longer in accordance with the legal needs of the community in the context of improving the welfare of the community and providing facilitation, protection, as well as empowerment to cooperatives that run savings and loan business. In addition, the regulation is also stipulated to implement the provisions of Article 44B of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4 Year 2023 regarding Development and Strengthening of Financial Sector.
Pada tanggal 16 Juni 2023, Menteri Koperasi dan Usaha Kecil dan Menengah menetapkan Peraturan Menteri Koperasi dan Usaha Kecil dan Menengah Republik Indonesia Nomor 8 Tahun 2023 tentang Usaha Simpan Pinjam oleh Koperasi. Peraturan tersebut ditetapkan untuk mengubah beberapa peraturan yang mengatur mengenai usaha simpan pinjam oleh koperasi yang dianggap sudah tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan hukum bagi masyarakat dalam rangka meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat dan memberikan kemudahan, pelindungan, serta pemberdayaan kepada koperasi yang menjalankan usaha simpan pinjam. Selain itu, peraturan tersebut juga ditetapkan untuk melaksanakan ketentuan Pasal 44B Undang-Undang Republik Indonesia Nomor 4 Tahun 2023 tentang Pengembangan dan Penguatan Sektor Keuangan.
