Meanwhile, data from July 27 shows that only 8.96 percent of Indonesians have been fully vaccinated, with unequal supply across regions and vaccine hesitancy contributing to the slow progress. With these conditions, citizens need clarity on the situation in hand, in order to protect themselves and their families from Covid-19.

Unfortunately, misinformation, hoaxes, and rapid changes in information on Covid-19 causes problems for both parties trying to contain the pandemic and the public which needs the correct information to keep themselves safe. There is a need for a platform to allow transparent, candid discussions with health experts in order to get accurate and verified information. Hence, AmCham is holding this Health Forum to provide our members with facts and insights needed to anticipate and respond to further developments of Covid-19.

The Health Forum seeks to address some of the burning questions surrounding Covid-19, from what exactly caused the Delta outbreak in Indonesia; projections of future developments; the state of hospitals and how to find rooms for treatment; rules for international travel between Indonesia and the US; to questions about Covid-19 as a disease and about vaccination.
